It
is the mission of ICSI to support the continued existence of
“home away from home” congregations. Our
board has directed that we focus our efforts on three
areas:
1.
Providing financial support
2.
Providing educational support.
3.
Providing development services.
Financial Support
ICSI
financial services focus on raising funds from current and former
expatriates, private companies, and private foundations. Once
your church has applied and received approval for grants from ICSI
we may then seek support and accept monies designated for your
congregation.
Our
goal is to insure that a maximum of donated funds go directly to
congregation support. Currently our policy requires that
95 cents of each dollar donated for a particular church be passed
directly onto that church in the form of monthly and special needs
grants.
The Application Process
ICSI
takes care to insure that all of our supported congregations are
legitimate organizations who meet the values and standards of
ICSI. The
application process is simple.
Churches and Missions requesting support submit a brief
application form. The
information gives ICSI an understanding of the needs of the
congregation. Once
received, ICSI board members review the information and make a
decision about the suitability of the organization for
support.
Upon
acceptance as a supported organization, ICSI can immediately begin
to request and process funds on behalf of the congregation.
Reporting
Congregations supported by ICSI grants receive a
number of regular reports to keep them informed about donors, gifts,
and grants
Other Services
ICSI has services and partner agencies that can help in many
areas. For example…
- Fund
raising or financial planning to support mission and
services
- Annual
or strategic planning activity
- Training
for church officers or board
- Keeping
in touch with former members
- Making contact with U.S. citizens who may be expatriating
to your area
- Obtaining
educational materials for Sunday school, small group activities,
etc.
- Obtaining Bibles or other literature for “new
Christian” studies or evangelistic
activities
If your organization has a special need, please contact our
office. Our staff will research your need and seek ways we can
help.
